An asbestos survey is a thorough inspection of your property to identify whether asbestos is present and what type of asbestos it is. There are two main types of asbestos surveys: management surveys and refurbishment/demolition surveys.

Management Surveys: These surveys are designed to identify whether asbestos is present in a building and to create an asbestos register and management plan. This survey is required by law if you are responsible for the maintenance and repair of non-domestic properties built before 2000.

Refurbishment/Demolition Surveys: These surveys are more intrusive and are required before any refurbishment or demolition work takes place. The aim is to identify all asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) in the work area that may be disturbed during the planned works.
