Our Asbestos Survey Services in Woolgarston

We offer three types of asbestos surveys in Woolgarston, depending on the purpose and extent of the survey.

Asbestos Management Survey

An asbestos management survey is a standard survey that aims to identify the presence and condition of ACMs in a building, assess the risk of exposure, and provide a management plan to monitor and manage the ACMs. This survey is required for all non-domestic buildings that were built before 2000, as well as any domestic buildings that are used as a workplace.

During the survey, our surveyors will visually inspect all accessible areas of the building, take samples of suspected ACMs (if necessary), and analyze them in a UKAS-accredited laboratory. We will then provide you with a detailed survey report that includes:

• A list of all ACMs found in the building
• The location, extent, and condition of the ACMs
• The risk of exposure to the ACMs

• A priority rating for each ACM based on its condition and location

This survey is valid for 12 months and should be updated regularly (at least every 3 years) to ensure the effectiveness of the management plan.

Asbestos Refurbishment/Demolition Survey

An asbestos refurbishment/demolition survey is a more intrusive and extensive survey that is required before any refurbishment or demolition work takes place in a building. This survey aims to identify all ACMs that may be disturbed during the work, assess the risk of exposure, and provide recommendations for safe removal.

During the survey, our surveyors will access all areas of the building (including those that are not easily accessible), take samples of suspected ACMs, and analyze them in a UKAS-accredited laboratory. We will then provide you with a detailed survey report that includes:

• A list of all ACMs found in the building
• The location, extent, and condition of the ACMs
• The risk of exposure to the ACMs
• Recommendations for safe removal and disposal of the ACMs
• An asbestos register and plan for the site

This survey should be conducted before any refurbishment or demolition work takes place and should be updated if there are any changes to the building or the scope of work.
