Asbestos Surveys

We provide two types of asbestos surveys; management surveys and refurbishment/demolition surveys. Our surveys are conformant with the HSE guidelines laid out in HSG 264.

Management surveys are aimed at locating asbestos within the building so the material can be safely managed or removed. This survey is designed to assess and record the location, extent and condition of asbestos containing material (ACMs) within the building to ascertain its compliance with the duty holder obligations under regulation 4 of The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR 2012).

Refurbishment/demolition surveys are carried out to locate all asbestos containing materials and any potential asbestos that may be disturbed during demolition or refurbishment. This survey is intrusive and requires the lock-down of the building areas where asbestos has been identified. This survey can only be conducted in vacant buildings.

Asbestos Testing

If you suspect that a material in your building contains asbestos, our asbestos testing service will help you confirm your suspicions quickly and efficiently. We will collect a sample from the material to be tested in accordance with HSE guidelines, then send the samples to a specialist UKAS accredited laboratory for analysis. This service will give you peace of mind by identifying whether the material contains asbestos and the type of asbestos detected.
