How We Handle Asbestos Removal & Re-Roofing on the Day
Most of our domestic work involves old corrugated asbestos cement garage roofs, shed roofs, internal ceiling boards, floor tiles, and textured Artex coatings. Because broken or drilled asbestos releases fibres, we never smash sheets up or cut corners.
1. Safe Dampening & Unbolting
Our crew wears full Type 5/6 coveralls and P3 respirators. We dampen the sheets down to suppress dust, carefully crop or unscrew old hook bolts, and lower whole sheets intact onto polythene sheeting.
2. Double-Bagging & Paperwork
All asbestos sheets, ridge caps, gutter debris, and tiles are wrapped and sealed in heavy-duty UN-approved hazardous waste bags, then taken straight to a licensed transfer station with full consignment paperwork.
3. Timber Checks & New Roofing
If we are fitting a replacement roof, we check the existing timber purlins or concrete trusses, replace rotten timbers where needed, and install modern plastisol-coated steel profile sheets, anti-condensation backing, or flat roofing.
4. Trims, Guttering & Clean-Down
We finish the roof off properly with matching bargeboards, ridge flashings, translucent skylight panels if wanted, and new uPVC guttering—leaving your drive and garden swept down and clear of old fixings.
