Asbestos surveys are an essential tool for identifying and managing asbestos in buildings. An asbestos survey can determine the presence, location and condition of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) within your property. There are three main types of asbestos survey:

• Management Asbestos Survey: This survey is required for all non-domestic buildings to identify asbestos-containing materials that could be disturbed during normal occupancy or maintenance.
• Refurbishment Asbestos Survey: This survey is required before any refurbishment or demolition work takes place. It is more intrusive than a Management Asbestos Survey and is designed to identify all ACMs that could be disturbed during the proposed work.
• Demolition Asbestos Survey: This survey is required before any demolition work takes place. It is similar to a Refurbishment Asbestos Survey but is more intrusive and aims to identify all ACMs within the building.
