But did you know that to work with asbestos, you need to hold a valid licence? At 1st Choice Asbestos, we're here to guide you through the process of becoming a licensed asbestos removal specialist in Devon.

Asbestos is a hazardous material that can cause serious health problems, including lung cancer and mesothelioma. When disturbed, asbestos fibres can become airborne, posing a significant risk to people's health. That's why it's crucial to undergo proper training and obtain a licence to work with asbestos safely. Our team at 1st Choice Asbestos has over 40 years of experience in asbestos removal and can provide you with the necessary training and guidance to become a licensed specialist.

To become a licensed asbestos removal specialist in Devon, you'll need to complete a mandatory training course approved by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). The course covers essential topics such as asbestos safety, risk assessment, and removal techniques. You'll also need to pass a written assessment to demonstrate your understanding of the material. Our team can help you prepare for the assessment and provide guidance throughout the process.

To obtain an asbestos removal licence in Devon, you'll need to follow these steps:

1. Find an approved training course: Look for a course approved by the HSE that covers asbestos safety, risk assessment, and removal techniques.
2. Complete the training course: Attend the course and complete the required training hours.
3. Pass the written assessment: Demonstrate your understanding of the material by passing a written assessment.
4. Apply for the licence: Submit your application to the HSE, providing proof of your training and assessment results.
