Affordable Asbestos Removal Devon

As a homeowner or business owner in Devon, you may be dealing with the risks associated with asbestos in your property. Asbestos removal is a highly regulated process, and it's essential to understand the requirements for obtaining a license to remove asbestos safely and compliantly. At 1st Choice Asbestos, we're here to guide you through the process and provide expert removal services.

Asbestos is a hazardous material that can cause serious health problems, including lung cancer and mesothelioma. The UK government has implemented strict regulations to ensure that asbestos removal is carried out safely and responsibly. To remove asbestos from your property, you'll need to obtain a license from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). This license ensures that you have the necessary training, equipment, and expertise to handle asbestos safely.

There are two types of licenses required for asbestos removal in Devon: a non-licensed and a licensed asbestos removal. Non-licensed asbestos removal is suitable for small-scale removals, such as removing asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) from a single dwelling. Licensed asbestos removal is required for larger-scale removals, such as removing ACMs from commercial or industrial properties. At 1st Choice Asbestos, our team holds the necessary licenses and certifications to carry out both non-licensed and licensed asbestos removals.

To obtain a license to remove asbestos in Devon, you'll need to meet the requirements set out by the HSE. This includes:

• Completing a training course approved by the HSE
• Passing a medical examination to ensure you're fit to work with asbestos
• Obtaining the necessary insurance coverage
• Registering with the HSE as an asbestos removal contractor
At 1st Choice Asbestos, our team has already completed these requirements, and we're certified to carry out asbestos removals in Devon. We can guide you through the process and ensure that your property is asbestos-free.
