Affordable Asbestos Removal Devon

If you're a homeowner or business owner in Devon, you may be wondering if asbestos removal is covered by building control regulations. The answer is yes, asbestos removal is a controlled activity in the UK, and it's essential to follow the guidelines set by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and local building control authorities.

Asbestos is a group of naturally occurring minerals that were widely used in building materials, such as insulation, roofing, and flooring, until the 1980s. However, asbestos is a hazardous substance that can cause serious health problems, including lung cancer and mesothelioma, when its fibres are inhaled. If you suspect that your property contains asbestos, it's crucial to have it surveyed and removed by a licensed asbestos removal company like 1st Choice Asbestos.

Yes, a survey is necessary before removing asbestos from your property. A survey will help identify the type and extent of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) present in your building. Our team of experts at 1st Choice Asbestos will conduct a thorough survey to determine the best course of action for safe removal and disposal of ACMs.
