Affordable Asbestos Removal Devon

As a homeowner or business owner in Devon, you may be concerned about the presence of asbestos in your soil. Asbestos is a hazardous material that can pose serious health risks if not handled properly. If you suspect that your soil is contaminated with asbestos, it's essential to know whether its removal is notifiable.

In the UK, the removal of asbestos is regulated by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Notifiable non-licensed work refers to the removal of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) that are not licensed by the HSE. However, even if the work is not licensed, it still requires proper training, equipment, and procedures to ensure safe removal.

In Devon, the removal of asbestos contaminated soil is considered notifiable non-licensed work. This means that you must notify the HSE before commencing the removal work. You will also need to ensure that the work is carried out by a trained and competent person, using the correct equipment and procedures.
