Working on Outbuildings & Garages Around Moretonhampstead
Sitting high up on the moorland fringe, roofs in Moretonhampstead take a real battering from driving rain, winter frosts, and heavy winds. Over the decades, old corrugated asbestos cement sheets become porous, brittle, and thick with heavy moss. Once water starts tracking through bolt holes or hairline cracks, timber purlins quickly rot out and the garage or workshop becomes damp and unusable.
Because we are only about half an hour away via the A382 through Bovey Tracey, getting a crew out to Moretonhampstead is straightforward. We know what access is like around town—whether you are tucked off The Square or Court Street where parking a flatbed takes a bit of planning, or out along a narrow single-track lane towards Chagford, North Bovey, or Doccombe with high Devon banks.
When you ring us, we will ask a few practical questions about where the garage or outbuilding sits, how close we can park our van, and whether you want the whole roof rebuilt or just the hazardous sheets safely taken away. Please note that while we handle all aspects of dismantling, disposal, and re-roofing, we do not carry out asbestos surveys.
Planning a property renovation or clear-out?
Alongside garage roofs, we regularly strip out old asbestos rainwater goods, floor tiles, and textured coatings for homeowners updating older properties in Moretonhampstead. Every load is double-bagged or wrapped in heavy-duty polythene and taken to a licensed facility with full paperwork for your property records.

How a Visit to Moretonhampstead Works on the Day
Straightforward Quote & Access Check
Give us a bell or send over a couple of photos with rough measurements of the roof or area. If it is a larger agricultural outbuilding or tricky access spot in Moretonhampstead, we will pop up to measure up in person. You get a fixed, clear price with no deposit needed for jobs under £5,000.
Dampening Down & Safe Dismantling
Our operatives arrive in full PPE and respirators, lay down heavy-duty sheeting to protect your driveway or garden, and spray the asbestos with a PVA solution to stop fibres becoming airborne. We unbolt or crop the fixings carefully so sheets come down whole rather than smashed.
New Roof Fitted & Waste Consigned
Most standard domestic garage roofs in Moretonhampstead are stripped and re-roofed on the very same day. We replace rotten timbers if needed, fit new coated metal or corrugated sheeting with matching trims and guttering, sweep the site clean, and hand over your hazardous waste consignment note.
