An asbestos survey is an essential tool for property owners and managers to identify the presence of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) within their premises. The survey will reveal the location, type, and condition of ACMs and provide detailed information on how to manage or remove them.

There are two types of asbestos surveys - Management Survey and Refurbishment & Demolition Survey. A Management Survey is the standard survey carried out on all non-domestic premises to locate the presence, type, and condition of discrete asbestos-containing materials (ACMs).

The Refurbishment & Demolition Survey is mandatory for any building that is going to be subjected to major refurbishment or demolition. This survey identifies all ACMs that might be disturbed through the refurbishment or demolition process, so they can be safely removed before work commences.
